Howard ripped off his tweed jacket, turned quickly towards Kristin and said quietly, “I’ve always loved you.” Before Kristin could respond, he ran towards the kid with the date stamper, practically bouncing through the stacks. He grabbed two large hard-bound poetry collections (Dickenson and The Greatest Sonnets of The 17th Century), vaulted a cart and heaved both at the teen, screaming, “We make war that we may live in peace!”
Distracted by the flying books, the teen dropped the return…
