The Pack AD: Daytrotter Session recorded Apr 24,... →
The Pack AD are a two piece RAWK band. Their sound is raw, angry and straight out of a dive bar you don’t want your mama to know you’ve been to. Their new album comes out soon, but here’s a taste of their stripped down sound at Daytrotter. And if you want more, their song “Crazy” (which is AWESOME) is available over at CBC Radio 3 (somewhere).

There’s a great demo video on YouTube of this. It would be cool if it was opened up for students and kids to create games. Max would love this.

nyctaper » Blog Archive » The Hold Steady:... →
I love NYC Taper! My iPhone is now full of live shows. The sound quality is usually fantastic and they get some super shows. I hadn’t heard much Hold Steady before this show, and now I can’t wait for their new album to come out. Good ass-kickin’ honest-to-goodness rock n’ roll.

Why I Stopped Working With Busy People →
Found via Scott Berkun’s excellent Cult of Busy post. If you’re constantly busy, it’s probably a lack of planning, a lack of mastery or poor foresight on your part. If you fail to plan, to think things through, and rush because you think everything has to get done right now: you are doing it wrong and you will fail. Stop. Take a breath. Think it through. Make a plan. Move...

Why I won't buy an iPad (and think you shouldn't,... →
A great rant against the iPad and the closed ecosystem it encourages. I won’t be buying an iPad, because when I’m screwing around at the computer, I’m usually creating something. The iPad is only for consumption, not for creation. I love OS X and Apple hardware. They make the best computers on the market. Why do I love OS X? Because it’s built on open source and is...
