It's a Mindphoon!

My International Day of Awesomeness Manifesto

Today is the third International Day of Awesomeness, a holiday I invented back in 2007. For the past three years, I’ve tried to perform a “feat of awesomeness” to commemorate the day. The first…

Murray and Tom Walk Fast:

I’m not used to walking, much less doing it at 6:30 in the morning. My calves were on fire.

A Big Statue:

I have no idea which one that is. I obviously don’t spend enough time in the park.

Savannah Sunrise:

I got up at 5:30 on this, the third International Day of Awesomeness to walk around Forsyth Park with Murray and Tom. I think this could become a regular thing.

Muertos Masks:

In a cool little window box at T-Rex Mex on Broughton St.

godzillahaiku:

Ghidorah’s Retort, written by Annalee Newitz, who featured Godzilla Haiku on io9.

Says Newitz: “I think Ghidorah is a less existential thinker.”

From my new favorite blog, Godzilla Haikus.

A fantastic bootleg of a Rogue Wave show sent my way by Doug March.

We made bread!:

Doesn’t it look lovely? 20 minutes until we can eat it! It’s a lovely recipe from my pal Murray. It slow rises over 18 hours and then gets thrown in a dutch oven in a 450-degree oven. It ends up a lot like a French boule - bit air pockets, super crunchy crust… it was heavenly. We just wolfed down half of it!

Bumper Go-Carts!:

Brian was surprisingly good at the go-carts.
